FASHION ILLUSTRATION

Amazing illustration by YIUNAMI LEUNG

Stikker kjapt innom for å dele denne nydelige illustrasjonen jeg tilfeldigvis snublet over på nettet av Yiunami Leung.
Her kommer formen seg, sakte men sikkert.  I dag kan jeg endelig spise litt mer normalt.  Håper å være sånn noenlunde tilbake til normalen i morgen, og ta taket på trening igjen i overmorgen.  *krysser fingre*

//Popping by to share this beautiful illustration I happened to come across by Yiunami Leung.  Love it. :)
I'm finally feeling better, and I'm hoping to be more or less back to normal again tomorrow... and back in the gym the day after... *crossing fingers*//

Daring Experimentation with Brush & Pencil!

Alright, so today I did a little experiment.

As you know, I'm all about pencils, pencils, and more pencils... but believe it or not, I have actually gone to school and learned not just how to do pencil drawings... but also how to paint, (amongst other things)! Not just one type of painting mind you, but my favorite was watercolor.

So!  I decided to do a little experiment!

I took this...

And mixed it with this... (and oh my god it's been literally forever since I touched a paint brush!)

And here you have the finished result! I wanted to create more of a cool grungy water color effect around the painted area, but I'd decided to leave it as it is this time around.

Soooo... what do you think of my daring experimentation?

I Picked the Pencil back Up!

Today I picked up the pencil, sat down, and started drawing.  It felt a bit strange... No wonder considering it's been about seven years since the last time I even held a pencil in my hand.

I was so worried that I would be beyond rusty, but as I kept drawing, the pencil started to feel more comfortable in my hand, and it all started making sense again.  It felt natural.  It's a bit like riding a bike.

I've been absolutely drained of everything called inspiration.  Literally completely dried up, nothing left at all.  Horrible feeling to an artist... really horrible.

As you know, I'm really fond heavy duty strength workouts, empowered women, so my thoughts went to women in the world of fitness.

Seeing all the amazing progress people within fitness make, how they take control over their bodies, mold it to it's peek, the amazing willpower and skill it takes to get to their level - I find that inspiring.  To be able to capture that with a camera lens, with words, or with a pencil - to me it is just one more way of visualizing and sharing wonderful inspiration of what humans can do if they put their mind to it.

So here it is, my first drawing in years, inspired by the field of fitness!  I hope, and cross all my fingers, that it will keep me inspired for a long time to come.

Now I'm dying of curiosity to hear what you think!  So how's that for a seven year drought?
Hope you like it!

I'm still trying to process it all...

Have a good one!
