Hope you're all enjoying the weekend!  Here the weather is absolutely lovely - it's really starting to feel like summer.

DYI - THE PERFECT VASE

The size of most perfume bottles are perfect to fit a single rose, or if larger even a small bouquet of flowers.   

Make sure it's clean of all traces of perfume, and Voila - you have a elegant vase, perfect for your desk or side table. 

 

BRIGHTEN YOUR DAY

It's true - having some flowers at your desk can do wonders to your mood!


As we all know, the most important thing for your mood is light - make sure you get a good amount of daylight where you sit - but really, don't underestimate adding some flowers to the mix.  Adding green plants and flowers really can make a much happier workplace.


For me the change is very noticeable - the moment you put some colorful flowers next to me, I smile. 
I actually get happier by just having them close by - especially if they're roses - I'm just plain silly when it comes to roses. 

If your put a bouquet of roses next to me I can guarantee you that I'll be sticking my whole face into the bouquet whenever I get the chance.

INTERIOR INSPIRATION - TIME FOR SUMMER

Yes - it's time for summer!

PICTURE MOMENTS - PORTUGAL

Some winter moments from the beautiful Portuguese countryside that I love so much. Enjoy.

IN NEED OF SOMETHING CATTY?

...and by catty I do mean the kind that is fluffy, four legged and adorable little creatures, not the other kind of catty - nobody needs that.

Anywho, if you visit Portugal and feel like seeing something a bit different, I totally recommend popping by the store "A loja do gato preto", which basically translates to "The store of black cat".
What it is, is an interior store with your usual decoration; mirrors, frames, lamps, curtains - you name it. They do have a lot of nice stuff to browse through, so it's totally worth a visit.

What makes this store a bit different is, as the name suggests and I'm sure you've guessed by now, the occasional cat!

It can be (can being the operative word here) tasteful, cute.... or just rather... well... see for yourself.

...I'm going to settle for the word hilarious, boarding on freaky!

Crazy cat lady anyone?  I was staring in disbelief when I saw these... Let's just say that the above does not enter my category for either cute or tasteful!  Still, for sure memorable, and one seriously good laugh!

INTERIOR INSPIRATION - INDUSTRIAL CHIC

My absolute favourite in interior design.  How I wish I could change my interior twice a year.  For now I will have to make due with being inspired by amazing interiors such as these.

30 DAY CHALLENGE - DAY 23 - YOUR NIGHTSTAND

After a lot of moving, including moving across continents, we've been buying a lot of furniture over the years.  There were some furniture we just didn't bother dragging all over the world.

One thing we kept on buying for the bedroom is the Malm series from Ikea - I think we've bought it three times now.

It's a pain to assemble, but such a great addition to the bedroom when it's up an running.  I especially love the tall six drawer chest with mirror for jewellery.

My bedside table is the Malm Chest with two drawers.  It's practical, roomy and neutral - perfect for the bedroom.  You can find it //HERE.

TIME FOR SUMMER - INTERIOR INSPIRATION

This is actually not exactly interior inspiration, more "exterior inspiration" really.  

Can't you just picture yourself in that hammock, or in that amazing little hanging chair?  It for sure makes me wanna go find my jeans shorts, sandals and sunnies!

Knits - Rustic Home Inspiration

Time for some more rustic interior inspiration!  Again I'm just in love with the big bean bags.  Some day, I really have to make something like that.

I think this is going to be the last of my more winter themed inspiration posts for a while.  Me and earth colors are inseparable so they will still be around, but I'm thinking it's soon time for some lighter days, with brighter colors - Spring is on the horizon! :)
