A LITTLE KNIT UPDATE

Ok, only a few hours before my tooth and I are going to see the dentist - thank god.   All I have to do now is kill a few hours.

Ha ha ha, look at that grumpy face!  Darn tooth *grumble*

While waiting I'll give you a knitting update!  :)  It's been a while now.

I just realized how many projects I've got going at once, but I guess that's a totally normal thing for us knitting people?

Firstly there is the test project I've been working on for some time now, and it's finally getting close to done - Finally!  I haven't been able to knit as much as usual lately, so progress has been really really slow.  Just put away the knitting needles and started to assemble the thing... I really hope it turns out good!

As soon as it's all in one piece, it's the turquoise version that needs doing, which is an actual birthday gift.  Any alterations needed I'll see from the first version, so it should be easier and quicker the second time around.

Tifa is as always assisting me

Then there was another birthday, and another project coming to life!  I just bought this yarn, and I absolutely love it!  Big, chunky and soft.  As it is cotton mixed with acrylic it should work for all seasons.

This is going to be a specially designed sweater for my dear friend Gwen, and she had some pretty good ideas of exactly what she wanted.  This is going to be a fun project.  I'm really looking forward to get started on the design and pattern!

The needle size for this sweater is 8 (European size), so the pattern is going to be large and chunky.  This is the first time I'll be attempting this, but in my designer head it's going to look really cool.

I'll show you when I get underway of course.  ;)

As soon as I can I need to pick back up the VM sweater!

I'm visiting my family in May, and I really need to have a little knitting discussion with my mom about some technical issues with this sweater, so I need to hurry up and get to the tricky areas

It seems a bit tough to get this sweater right, especially in the sides areas where you increase and decrease amounts of stitches.  Increasing and decreasing in itself is not hard at all, but with this pattern it gets a bit trickier.

I'm in need of some expert advice, and there is no better help then from my mom.

Another lovely project that I just can't wait to get started - Skappeljakken (The Skappel Jacket).  I'm so looking forward to get started on this one. I wish I could have it ready for this summer for chilly evenings, but I am really starting to doubt it.

Something tells me that I'll be making several versions of this jacket when I get going - it just looks so absolutely lovely.  Think I'm gonna have to make an alpaca version as well, I don't think I can resist.

And last but not least - The Cap Project - I am considering doing this one before I start the birthday sweater in turquoise.  It's not really the season for it now though.  What do you think?

I have to share it for sure, because I just know that you guys are going to love it!  It really is the best cap ever.  Really.  :)

I think I'll just have to get all the tutorials up and out there - the problem is time - video editing is extremely time consuming.

If you guys think I should get this one out first, I promise I'll get around to it.  It just is the best and most rewarding little project for beginners, and a nice little productive break for the pro's.

I feel like I have one project in each drawer around the living room at the moment.  How about you?  How many projects do you have going?

Have a good one
